Avant Flooring’s unique composition and seamless joints make it 100% waterproof and dustproof, ensuring an anti-allergenic interior environment. It is UV and fire resistant, scratch resistant and durable. Avant Flooring does not expand or contract in response to environmental conditions. It is also reusable and recyclable. The flooring’s zero absorption properties means it reflects cool air and thereby reduces air conditioner load; saving 25-30% of electricity use. Fifteen wooden grain shades are suitable for residential, commercial and marine sectors. Avant Flooring comes with a 20-year interior warrantee, is maintenance free and is the ultimate, sustainable replacement when compared to traditional flooring materials such as wood, carpets and ceramics.

How does your product Improve liveability (IEQ, Aesthetics, Thermal Comfort, Other)?

Our consumer research has shown that customers prefer Avant Flooring because it doesn’t have the maintenance issues that wooden floors have and, in the long run, is less expensive than wood.

Avant Flooring offers 15 contemporary grain and stain options that provide a premium look and feel to any living or working space. Avant Flooring is engineered with a honeycomb structure on the base board, which creates an internal vacuum and insulation barrier. Avant Flooring’s upper surface allow it to reflect warm and cold air, preventing moisture rising from beneath, thereby reducing chiller/AC load. Avant Flooring’s structure allows for a more comfortable environment within homes, hotels, offices and retail spaces, with huge energy savings.

How can you quantify that your green material has a low toxicity, and low pollution levels?

• No wood is involved in Avant Flooring’s production process. All materials comply with EN E1 formaldehyde emissions standards to ensure that you and your family breathe healthy air (<0.1 mg/m3 as per the test method of EN 717-1:1998 by SGS).
• Avant Flooring is not a biological material so it does not enable the growth of microorganisms. Avant Flooring does not absorb water and humidity
• It is easy to clean with chemicals and detergents.

How does your product benefit the natural systems (how is it ecologically friendly)?

Avant is concerned about the destruction of global rainforests and therein the decline of precious ecosystems. Avant Flooring provides beauty of wood but does not cut down any trees to create our product. Manufacture is done in a sustainable manner to ensure the lowest carbon footprint possible. The product offer more benefits when compared with wood. It reflects (not absorbing) warm and cool air; thereby reducing chiller load and heating loads by saving 25-30% of electricity. The product can be reused and recycled.

What is the water saving potential of your product as compared to a baseline or in terms of % of water saved per day/month?

Our product is waterproof and therefore unable to absorb water. Avant products are used for wet area applications like bathrooms, kitchens, swimming pool, and marine.

What is the energy saving potential of your product as compared to a baseline or in terms of % of energy saved per day/month?
