Underlay

Before Avant Signature Flooring can be installed, it requires an underlay. This can be achieved with a 3mm PE Standard Underlayment, which is the most popular choice but can only be laid over a concrete or wooden subfloor as it does not have a moisture barrier. PE underlay comes with an integrated moisture barrier and overlap to provide vapour protection. Use it when installing Avant floating floorings. Not suitable for any type of flooring that needs to be fully glued to the subfloor.

Basic sound reduction provides high-level, lasting impact sound insulation. Minimises the sound level transmitted through the floor into adjacent rooms. Unique Micro pumping System supports air circulation. Install your floor to float on the surface of the underlay as this will help to absorb sound when walking on the floor.

• Colour: White
• 3mm = 1/8″ thick
• Clean the subfloor thoroughly; making sure it is free of loose debris and dirt
• Subfloor must be in good repair and dry
• Roll out Floor Muffler Underlayment directly next to wall
• Install panels parallel to the wall in the same direction as you plan to install the flooring planks
• Cut Underlayment to fit when section is completed
