Dubai-based integrated marketing communications company wins International Star Award for Quality in Geneva.
Avant Communication was recently lauded with the International Star Award for Quality in the gold category by Business Initiative Directions (B.I.D) at the B.I.D. International Quality Convention in Geneva. Winners are selected based on their commitment and contribution to excellence, innovation, technology, leadership, management and quality within their various sectors of operation. Brand equity and business results are also taken into consideration.
Avant Communication opened its doors in Dubai in 2006. As an expert in integrated marketing solutions the company offers clients the full range of services related to marketing and branding. They have 12 divisions spanning brand building, communication, design, direct marketing, event management, image library, interactive, media, modelling and photography, PR, print buying and publishing. While the company is based in Dubai it serves both local and international clients. Amongst their blue-chip portfolio count multinational conglomerates. Their clients span a range of sectors including technology, retail, education, hospitality and pharmaceuticals. With the International Star Award for Quality, Avant Communication joins the ranks of top international organisations including Walmart (2 million employees and sales of US$ 419 billion), ArcelorMittal Point Lisas (largest steelmaker in the Caribbean and part of ArcelorMittal with US$ 78 billion turnover) and China Steel Corporation (17,000 employees and sales of US$ 5.8 billion).
By winning this award, the company is flying the flag high for the UAE, a country with an established reputation as an international hub of quality. Previous winners recognised by B.I.D. include Turner Construction (constructor of the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, located in Dubai) and the Dubai Police Force. The B.I.D. Quality Convention 2011 was presided over by Jose E. Prieto, President and CEO of B.I.D. Avant Communication was presented with their award by Mr. Prieto with a UAE representative to the UN by his side. Mr. Philip Mazloumian, International Business Development Manager for Avant Communication, believes the award will help the company to build confidence amongst clients.
“Clients want assurance that a service provider can deliver on its promises. This award is affirmation that the work we deliver is of the highest calibre. We trust that it will contribute to putting prospective clients’ minds at ease about the quality of our service.” When asked about the future plans for the company Mr. Mazloumian said that Avant Communication will focus on expanding throughout Asia, North America and Africa. In fact, the company is already operating in India and China.
But it is not just all business for this dynamic corporate entity. Corporate Social Responsibility has been core to the company’s mission since day one. Says Mr. Mazloumian, “I believe it is our responsibility, as well as that of our partners and clients, to focus on how we can better protect the environment and communicate the damages we are currently doing, to ensure that we have a better and healthier society.” In response to the company’s big win Mr. Antonio Varghese, CEO and Chairman of Avant Communication, wishes to thank his clients. “Their dedication and support is a great honour. We vow to continue working hard to deliver premium services that will create value for our clients.” He also wishes to dedicate the award to the UAE and in particular Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Prime Minister and Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Says Mr. Varghese, “Without his vision this achievement would never have been possible.”
